Testimonials

Please take the time to scan and read through the many testimonials, sent to me from patients who have been kind enough to write a letter expressing gratitude – heart-felt feedback complimenting my practice – which is truly appreciated. So many people have been treated successfully, and what you the reader should realize, is their success has direct correlation to their dedication in following the individualize Corrective Care Program designed specifically for them from the initial examination.

Dear Dr. Tranberg,

I believe I was like so many other individuals before I came to your office.  I had a constant problem with my back.  For more than thirty years, no matter what care I took, I was always having back problems to the point I would have to miss work, miss golf and not be able to work around my home.  There were  days I spend more time on my living room floor than walking upright.  The various doctors I had over my seventy one years never suggested seeing a chiropractor.  Because I asked and due to various conversations with my current doctor, he said "It wouldn't hurt to try a chiropractor."

I am thankful on that warm summer day a couple of years ago, during Heritage Days, you were giving free examinations as to the condition of our backs.  I was pleased as to how complete your exam was.

Since seeing you, with the exception of the first couple of months in which you straightened out my spine, my back has been GREAT!  It has been about two years during which time I have played golf, never missed a day from work because of my back and I have worked many a full day around my home.  NO BACK PROBLEMS!

It just shows that with the right professional....a person who knows one's job...there is hope, even for problems we have lived with most of our life.  It is a shame that most medical professionals don't recommend seeing chiropractors.

I cannot say enough about you and your staff regarding the attention and care I receive each time I make my appointed visits to your office.

I am a very satisfied member,

Joe G.

Dear Dr. Tranberg,

It is with great excitement that I write you this letter, during my successful 38th week of pregnancy! With a history of three previous pregnancies affected by preeclampsia, I was very anxious as this one progressed.

My prenatal regimen included a high-risk obstetrician as well as my every third week chiropractic adjustment. As you know I was feeling very well. Blood pressure, protein, and liver enzymes were in check. The usual aches and pains of pregnancy, including ligament laxity, hip subluxation, and sacrum displacement were adjusted by you.

At 36 weeks gestation, I had a high protein count along with serial elevated blood pressure and was admitted to Massachusetts General Hospital for a week of testing and bed rest. After that week I was discharged with a prescription of continued bed rest for the duration of the pregnancy.

After discussing the effects of chiropractic adjustments holding blood pressure readings, I decided to increase my chiropractic regimen to every two to three days…reasoning that if my central nervous system were in check, the rest of my body would be too. It is! My proteins have become trace and serial blood pressures are better than ever. At my last prenatal visit the nurse asked me with a big smile on her face, "Are these really your blood pressure readings?" My doctor is happily surprised and advised me to, "Keep doing what you’re doing." What I’m doing is a combination of high-risk prenatal care and chiropractic…it has worked wonders

Thank you so much for your care and the welcoming warmth I feel from your staff whenever I enter the office. It has been a joy to be adjusted by you!

Sincerely,

Kelly H.

Dear Dr. Tranberg,

I would like to start by thanking you for helping keep my family healthy for almost 10 years! Preventative Chiropractic care does work and my family is the product of these services.

My husband was the first family member to go to "Dr. Debbie," as we all affectionately call her. He had launched our sailboat into the harbor and while putting up the mast, he hurt himself. After walking around like a pretzel for three weeks, a friend recommended that he set up an appointment with Dr. Tranberg. He did and his body was finally untangled and he was walking upright again!

My husband and I attended a wellness clinic, and I became the next patient. I had previously fallen and had broken my wrist so bad that I had an external fixture for six weeks and physical therapy for over three months. Dr. Tranberg explained that my wrist was not the only part on my body that had been damaged during the fall. If you can keep your spine in alignment, then other parts of your body that may not be functioning to their fullest potential will also benefit from chiropractic care.

My two daughters were the next patients, as my son was not born yet. It was during this pregnancy that I continued my chiropractic care, and I had the easiest pregnancy concerning my back of all three! All the children are patients and I must admit they are hardly ever out of school for sicknesses. One year, one daughter never missed a day of school for illness.

I would like to thank Dr. Tranberg, Charlotte, and Tracey for helping keep m family healthy and living up to their fullest potential!

Sincerely,

Lisa R. B.

For over thirty years I have been going to Chiropractors. Several of them were very good; but when I moved to Scituate to assist my mother, I came upon Dr. Tranberg who has proven to be not only excellent, but also exceptional!

Dr. Tranberg has helped me tremendously with a variety of situations over the last few years. From placing a wheelchair and oxygen tanks in and out of the car trunk as well as lifting and attending to my mom, I was constantly straining and putting my back off track. It became obvious that other areas became affected trying to compensate and cause more difficulties and discomforts.

She suggested walking as much as possible and having appointments on a regular basis. By doing so, the affected areas would begin to stay in place longer helping to stabilize and repair the body faster.

As the adjustments began to hold, the body became stronger, the discomfort lessened, and fewer appointments were necessary...I began to again feel great and now, the "preventative maintenance" program is followed, therefore, I can truly say, I have been more than delighted with the results.

It is evident that Dr. Tranberg "owns" the knowledge of Chiropractic from the deepest level of "knowingness" she seems to intuitively know what needs to be done without thinking about it intellectually. Her hands adjust with such natural ease and confidence; one feels great trust and that healing is taking place.

A professional sincere and compassionate human being to patients, and (animals), Dr. Tranberg brightens life.

I thank you Dr. Tranberg…with warmth and best wishes

Ginny

P.S. Three cheers for your wonderful office staff!

My lower back was in so much pain – that to walk, sit, stand and sleep, was without question excruciatingly uncomfortable. I had never been to a chiropractor before, but two of my sisters had been going and were feeling pretty good. My pain was so severe; I figured I didn’t have much to lose. Anything is better than living like this.

I contacted Dr. Tranberg's office, (my older sister’s doctor) to make an appointment.

On my initial visit, kinda like an assessment visit, the Dr. took some x-rays of my lower back to see what was going on. She talked to me about what she saw, explaining to me about sublimation, how with time, (and in my case-lots of self-abuse) misalignment of the spine can occur. Here is a comprehensive approach tackling the pain origin. The adjustment literally working from the inside out.

I stay with my maintenance program, thus assuring me of success, not setbacks. Before Dr. Tranberg, I was crawling on all fours, and now with her help, I am standing on two-proud and erect.

Sincerely,

Nancy G.

I have been working with Dr. Tranberg and chiropractic care for a year now. I am 64 years in age and work as a certified home health aide. I am exposed to all sorts of colds and viruses. I've noted that this year I have not been sick on any level, no colds or flu or virus, no upset stomach, headaches, indigestion of the like. I truly know that keeping my body in alignment affords me optimum health without the use of medications or prescriptions of any kind.

Thanks to Dr. Tranberg and her wonderful staff and of course myself to be able to enjoy good health.

During late March of 2002, I developed severe pain ion my lower left back. It became very difficult to walk, drive, sleep or move around at all in a normal manner. My family doctor had since retired and other local doctors were not taking "New Patients."

A close friend and neighbor suggested a Chiropractor (I honestly had never given it a thought). However, I immediately checked the local phone book and headed for Scituate Harbor Chiropractic when I met Dr. Debra Tranberg and her staff, with whom I was immediately impressed.

I was checked out, x-rayed and diagnosed and care was started. Within short order (2/3 week) the pain was gone and normal movement had improved dramatically.

Further – at the onset of the care I had told Dr. Debbie about problems I’ve had with my neck for many years. She replied that she could do something about that and proceeded to treat my neck as well as my back. Slowly but surely my neck has improved and continues to do so. I also sleep better.

As a result of all this good work, I chose to continue care on a maintenance level and there always seems to be room for improvement.

Dr. Debbie and her staff are excellent. The office and medical equipment are top shelf and furthermore you can’t beat the view.

Sincerely,

WVC

Dear Fellow Clients,

Over ten years ago, I was diagnosed with cervical radiculopathy by my primary M.D. Every few months or so, my neck would become so stiff and painful that it was very hard to perform my duties as a staff nurse, let alone drive a car. During the painful bouts, I would take high dose anti-inflammatory drugs, which did little. Ice was never recommended.

Since beginning chiropractic care, my neck pain, when it occurs, is tolerable and short lasting. I can almost always trace an occurrence to over-exertion of some kind. I do not take anti-inflammatory medication and I ice as ordered with good effect. I no longer have a debilitating condition.

My children and I have regular adjustments. My 11-year-old son was diagnosed with moderate scoliosis 2, leg length discrepancy. The orthopedic surgeon checks his bone age and growth plate progress through a simple growth scan x-ray once a year. Since my son began chiropractic care, the leg length discrepancy is negligible. He participates in all sports at a high level.

My 7-year old daughter is healthy, too and I believe that she too benefits from her regular adjustments.

I am a Registered Nurse with 20 years of clinical experience and although I am quite medical-based, I find that even in 2002, not enough attention is focused on the innate healing of the body. Alternative means can be a great assist beyond what medicine can offer. To me, it makes perfect sense that through spinal adjustment, organs and nerves maintain optimal functioning by increasing blood supply and nerve conduction.

The kids and I feel better after the adjustments; we spend about 15-20 minutes in the office. The appointment times are always flexible. The staff is cordial and positive. Dr. Tranberg shows an obvious total commitment to the work that she does. She loves to teach and her great belief in Chiropractic benefits makes her a very open and available wellness practitioner.

Sincerely,

Kathleen H.

Motivated by constant nagging pain in my neck and lower back, I knew I had to do something. It wasn't going away like prior times. I thought I would give Dr. Tranberg my problems. (Not with great expectations I might add.)

I was impressed with the first visit. Dr. Tranberg took numerous x-rays and from them showed me why I was hurting and more importantly what she could do to improve my situation. She asked me to attend a seminar explaining in much detail all about Chiropractic care – the do’s and don'ts, etc., causes and results and answering any questions I might have. One could see she is very devoted to her practice.

After only two visits I was free of pain and sleeping better but was worried that it would recur if not given enough time to heal. And so I will continue care with Dr. Tranberg as I have complete confidence in her ability to help me.

A satisfied and grateful patient,

June C.

I have been suffering from chronic back pain since a hockey injury in the 70's. I had surgery in 1989 and was referred again for surgery in 1995. (Surgery I opted not to have). I instead went to an outpatient pain clinic. A friend referred me to this office. I haven’t felt this good in twenty years. The doctor and staff have been both helpful and accommodating.

Eleven years ago I developed a very stiff neck. I lived with it for several weeks, thinking that it was just part of aging and hoping that no one noticed that I couldn't turn my head.

Eventually some of my visiting relatives noticed it and persuaded me to take advantage of Dr. Tranberg's offer for a free consultation. An offer which, I had received at her booth on Heritage Day.

After receiving the x-ray that I had taken, Dr. Tranberg said that my stiff neck was due to severe scoliosis. We started a series of frequent visits and gradually my neck improved. And since then it has never given me any trouble.

Then she went to work to "iron out" the various kinks that appeared from time to time. That too has disappeared after being cared for by her. I have a regular appointment every three weeks.

I'm a church organist, play golf, do housework, gardening, and enjoy low cardio aerobics three times a week. Recent x-rays have shown that the scoliosis has not progressed.

OH. Eleven years ago I was 73 years old!

Thank you, Dr. Tranberg

December, 1998

For about two years, I had been experiencing severe spasms shooting down my right let, and my lower back and neck were out of alignment and in a lot of pain from a couple car accidents that I had been in.

Previous care consisted of muscle relaxants and anti-inflammatory prescription medicine, and numerous visits to different physical therapy locations. Many MRI's were taken and many doctors were seen. I was mostly told that I would have to live with the pain for the rest of my life.

I was referred to your office by a friend who could not say enough about the chiropractic are she had received from you ad how it had benefited her.

I had doubts about coming to your office because I had been to another

chiropractor that had started to work on me, but then left for vacation. I was in a lot of pain after that first adjustment so I called their office and saw the covering chiropractor, but he didn't succeed in helping me. Because of the unbelievable pain I was in I went back to my regular doctor and proceeded to take prescription medicine again.

My first impression of your office was that the staff and yourself were friendly, caring and professional people. My first visit consisted of x-rays and a consultation. I remember learning from you about the different disks in my neck and back and how misaligned they were. I also remember you telling me that you could make me feel better with time and that I would be able to stop taking the prescription medicine I was taking. The second visit consisted of my first adjustment. You knew what you were doing because I didn't experience the pain that I had from the other chiropractor.

Although it took longer for me (three years) until my body felt just about back to normal, it has been totally worth it. You cannot put a price or time frame on that.

You have also helped me with the arthritis pain that I get in my back. You recommended certain herbs/vitamins to take and it's worked. You have also helped with the migraine headaches I get. When I get one now, I immediately call your office for an appointment and I'm usually feeling better by the next day.

I can't say enough about you and all you've done and are still doing for me in giving me a healthier life in that I don't take prescription medicine anymore and I feel the most physically fit that I have in years! I've even joined a gym! Your staff has always been pleasant and accommodating when I’ve needed to make or change appointment days or times. I think everyone should have chiropractor because I do not think they know what they are missing. Most people go through life accepting the pain that they are in and they do not realize that there is a solution.

November, 1995

Oh no not me! I just went through this with my husband last year. I’m not going to put up with three months of pills, pain and punishment.

It was my good luck to have heard, through a friend, about Dr. Tranberg, so to

the telephone I dashed, dialed, was lucky to get an a.m. appointment.

I flew to the harbor and up her flight of 2-1/2 staircases and sat. Neeeexxxxt – it was my turn.

All the doctor had to do was look at my face and protected right shoulder and she knew "the popular pinched nerve."

I couldn't believe that with a little hot/cold nubs something that went "thud" to my spine could make me feel so much better. The doctor said to return that day after work, tomorrow, and the next day and eagerly I did. With Dr. Tranberg, ice

AM and PM, and TLC from a very sympathetic husband, within the week I could smile again.

I have continued to see Dr. Tranberg monthly just to keep things in "line."
